Course description
This introductory, in-person workshop will focus on the core areas and key essentials of employment law.
It is delivered through a series of tutor led modules which are highly participative and therefore places are limited to 20 delegates. Activities include case studies, syndicate work and small group sessions. The workshop will also consider the latest planned changes and what their impact will be on employment law.
The presenter will explore the following topics: employment law - how it works and to whom it applies; the employment contract and its contents; ending the employment relationship and wrongful dismissal; unfair dismissal; settlement agreements; unlawful deduction of wages claims; discrimination; family friendly working; introduction to TUPE; submitting a tribunal claim and proactive employment law.
