Institute for Educational & Social Equity is a specialist Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Institute. We are the only independent Tertiary level institution of its kind in the UK.

We are a Google for Education institution, and a member of the UK Register of Learning Providers – Registration number: 10092202

Our services are available to any organisation or institution interested in developing and/or implementing research-led or research-informed interventions, which is our USP.

We offer a range of services, built on three pillars: research, capacity development and institutional support.

We also offer the UK's first Level 7 Certificate and Level 7 Diploma in EDI, the first qualification of it's kind in the UK.

We work with clients on single or intersectional concerns, to strengthen individual and organisational understandings, and to secure improvements to practice and outcomes.

The Institute is the ONLY specialist tertiary level provider of EDI research, capacity-development and institutional support in the UK.

The Institute is the ONLY provider of the EDI Fellowship © - the qualification for EDI professionals.

The Institute is the ONLY provider of the Level 7 Certificate & Level 7 Diploma in EDI.

The Level 7 Certificate in ‘Equity, Inclusion & Organisational Diversity’ is accredited by NCFE. It is modular in design, and has a strong focus on understanding equality legislation, leading diverse teams and workforce, and leadership for equity. It is intended to provide learners with knowledge and skills to interrogate and support their organisations’ equity, diversity & inclusion (EDI) work.

On 23rd October 2024, staff and leaders at the Institute for Educational & Social Equity, were delighted to host Ms Karah Whitter, Senior Staff Inspector, Quality Assurance, at its office in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, to explore collaborative opportunities in research and research management.

The National Education Inspectorate (NEI) is responsible for quality assurance in just over 1,000 public primary and secondary schools in Jamaica. Ms Whitter's visit follows a visit to the National Education Inspectorate in June 2024 by IESE Director, Professor Paul Miller.
