Course description
Get the practical skills and knowledge you need to start a career in floristry, with our Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma at Writtle College.
This course is ideal if you’ve previously completed Level 2 study and want to further develop your skills.
You’ll study creative floral design methods and techniques, and learn to produce a range of designs including tied, wired, glued, and designs in different mediums. You’ll also focus on designs for different events, such as weddings and funerals.
With an eye on your future career, we look at current and future design development, and innovation in floristry.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Main
- 5 GCSEs at 9-4 (A*-C) or equivalent Level 2 Floristry qualification at Merit or Distinction
- Must include GCSE Maths and English at 9-4 (A*-C)
- Evidence of practical floristry experience
- Satisfactory references from most recent school, college or employer
- Alternative qualifications or experience will be considered on application.
