This intensive introduction to the specialised area of art finance provides course participants with detailed context of the global art market.
The course covers topics and debates on issues such as art as an alternative investment, art investment funds, using art as collateral for loans and art in traditional wealth management, fractional art ownership, and how the rapidly developing market of NFTs and cryptocurrency are impacting an ever-evolving art world. In addition, the sessions will introduce a set of analytical tools and methodologies for better understanding the performance and the dynamics of the art market. These sessions offer course participants access to the most recent developments in the market for art finance and investment.

Week 4: Learn about art secured lending and innovation in the art market, such as the difference between traditional vs. asset based lenders. Hear from experts in the field, such as the CEO of Art Finance at the Fine Art Group.
Week 5: Discover how new technologies such as AI and Blockchain can affect the market.
Week 6: Engage with philanthropy and social impact investment as they relate to the art market, as well as alternative art investment models.
