The City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (England) is an occupational qualification for learners who work in Adult Care Settings in England and is applicable to a variety of roles, where workers have key responsibilities for delivery of care and support and/or a level of supervisory responsibility for others such as:
- Lead Adult Care Worker
- Lead Personal Assistant
- Key Worker
- Domiciliary Care Worker
- Senior Care Assistant
- Support Worker

Meet residency criteria as per funding rules.
Candidate will be fully funded if it is their first full Level 3 qualification and not previously accessed NSF funding.
If you already have a full level 3 qualification or above and are employed with a low wage (currently £23302.50 for residents of the Greater London Area) then you may still be able to access this qualification for free.

Training Course Content
This qualification consists of mandatory units covering core knowledge and skills competencies with optional unit content which can be combined in flexible ways to reflect the real working context of different learners.
The content of the mandatory units covers person-centred approaches, communication, personal development, equality and inclusion, handling information, duty of care,
responsibilities of the role, safeguarding, and health, safety and wellbeing.
The optional units are designed to meet the requirements of a range of Adult Care services
Course delivery details
A variety of methods including lectures, discussions, independent research and practical activities.
The assessment of the qualification mostly takes place in your real work environment whilst you carry out the day to day activities of your job. This means that you are also proving your work to a nationally recognised level at the same time as doing your job. You will also complete assessments, answer questions and carry out professional discussions building an E-Portfolio of evidence which can be assessed outside of your workplace.
Continuing Studies
This qualification allows learners to learn, develop and demonstrate the skills and knowledge required for employment and/or career progression in Adult Care within a role which has some autonomy, delegated responsibility or where there may be a need for supervision of others.
