Course content
The Award course is made up of 4 mandatory units that are worth 12 credits and one optional unit.
Course units include:
- Child and young person development
- Safeguarding the welfare of children and young people
- Communication and professional relationships with children, young people and adults
- Equality, diversity and inclusion in work with children and young people
- Schools as organisations.
Entry requirements
Students must be over 18 years old and have Level 2 English/ESOL. There is an initial literacy assessment (Reading and Writing) prior to acceptance onto the course.
