Is this course right for me?
This course is aimed at transitioning and first-time leaders or those who want to prepare for taking the next step into a leadership role.
Those who attend this programme should ideally already be in a lower/middle level management role and either looking to progress into a more senior leadership role, or have recently been promoted into a leadership position.
If you have recently moved into a senior leadership role (in the last 12-18 months) and have not yet engaged in any leadership development, then this programme would be extremely valuable for you to develop your self-awareness and identify the key skills and behaviours you need to develop to foster a more empowering approach to leading others to achieve bottom-line results.
Are there any formal entry requirements?
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however those who join this programme should ideally already be in a leadership role or planning to move into a leadership role in the next 12 months.
Please note that for our online programmes, you are required to have access to suitable IT resources (access to a laptop/PC/iPad/tablet) and an internet connection to be able to access the ‘live’ online workshops.
Training Course Content
To enable you to achieve exceptional performance in your leadership role, on this course we will encourage you to reflect and recharge, whilst learning about the essentials of effective leadership. You will learn about:
- Managing the transition into senior leadership and the skills and behaviours required to do this effectively
- Your ‘authentic self’ as a leader (exploring your own values, beliefs and behaviours)
- The emotionally intelligent leader and your own levels of emotional intelligence
- The value of high-performing teams and how to facilitate high-performance in your own organisation
- The role of empowerment and engagement in leading high-performing teams
- Coaching tools, models and techniques to create a coaching culture to maximise performance and capability
- Facilitating powerful coaching conversations
- Influencing strategies and techniques to influence a range of stakeholders
- Analysing the business environment to support effective strategic planning
- Effectively leading individuals and teams through change
- Ways to develop own resilience and support others through difficult times
- The use and value of networking to support effective leadership
- Supporting your own growth and development as a leader
