Course description
Gain the skills you need to work in the countryside and promote conservation efforts, with our Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma at Writtle College.
This qualification focuses on the essentials of working in the countryside, as well as exploring ways to manage and conserve habitats.
You’ll learn about estate skills, safe use of equipment and machinery, and land use and recreation. You’ll also study subjects including ecological concepts and application, environmental interpretation and fresh water and wetland management, as well as further areas such as farm habitat management, heathland habitat management, coastal management, and managing volunteers.
You’ll learn theory in the classroom and get hands-on experience on our countryside campus, and through work experience.
