Course description
Horticultural Machinery Maintenance, Service and Repair
This one day course is aimed at small businesses, self-employed individuals and property owners with larger gardens. During the day participants will learn how to maintain their garden machinery including line trimmers, brushcutters, hedge cutters and rotary mowers. Instruction will be given to ensure the machines work safely and efficiently.
For those requiring a more in depth knowledge on specific equipment may wish to consider a more advanced servicing and repair course.

Suitability - Who should attend?
We are governed by Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations therefore participants will not be allowed to start the course without the correct equipment. They may prefer for their comfort and safety, to bring their own Personal Protective Equipment. We strongly recommend participants also wear a high visibility vest.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own saw if they require specific advise but use of them on site will not be permitted.
Outcome / Qualification etc.
A Writtle University College Certificate of Attendance will be issued on the successful completion of a practical assessment.
