Course description
Delivered at Trowbridge Campus, the BTEC Higher Nationals in Sport & Exercise Science (Coaching Science) aims to develop students as professional, self-reflecting individuals that will develop skills and knowledge to meet the demands of employers in Sport & Exercise Science careers and adapt to a constantly changing world of sport and exercise. In addition to this, the course will give students opportunities to apply their skills and knowledge within the Sport, Exercise & Coaching Science sector to prepare them for further studies and job opportunities.

Suitability - Who should attend?
A level 3 qualification in an appropriate Sport or Sport and Exercise Science related subject such as A Levels or BTEC level 3 Diploma.
Other related level 3 qualifications.
This is likely to supported by GCSE grades A* to C (9 to 4) and / or 9 to 4 in subjects such as English and Mathematics.
An Access to Higher Education Diploma awarded by an approved Further Education Institution.

Course delivery details
A Higher National qualification is equivalent to either a level 4 or level 5 university qualification, for example a foundation degree.
This level 5 course will be delivered using a blended approach of both classbased sessions and remote learning.
This course will be studied fulltime over two years and it will be necessary for you to undertake a significant amount of independent directed study to meet the demands of the programme.
