Course description
GCSE English classes are available to adults (19+) at our Chippenham, Salisbury and Trowbridge campuses. Courses start w/c 11 September 2023 and run up until the exams in May and June 2024. We encourage you to apply on-line and register your interest in studying GCSE English. Following receipt of your application, we will contact you to discuss the campus, days and session times and the options available to you. Subject to enrolment numbers, there will be daytime and evening classes available which are face to face. These courses are usually free of charge for applicants who do not have a Grade C/4 or above at GCSE.
Suitability - Who should attend?
For those wishing to enrol onto the GCSE qualification, you are likely to already have achieved a grade D or 3 at GCSE or hold a Functional skills Level 2 qualification.
As part of the interview process, all applicants will complete an initial assessment.
Using the results from this and through discussion with you, we will be able to advise you about the course and qualification that is most suitable for you.
Training Course Content
When you sign up to study GCSE English, we will help you develop your core skills and knowledge at Level 2 in reading, writing, speaking, listening and communication.
We offer the 9 - 1 GCSE English through the Edexcel Examining Board.
