Course description
This course aims to provide 2.5 hours of update on the management of medical emergencies and resuscitation in general dental practice.
The General Dental Council requires that ALL registrants are trained in dealing with medical emergencies, including resuscitaion, and possess up to date evidence of capability. Medical emergencies training and resuscitation is a core skill required by all the dental professionals and it is expected that dental professionals update their training in this area every year.
During this course you will receive an update on current guidelines in the management of medical emergencies and resuscitation in general dental practice. You will also learn about the common medical emergencies that may occur in the dental practice, their prevention and management and refresh your skills with hands on CPR and BLS including the use of AED.
