Every construction professional needs to be fully up-to-date
with developments in all aspects of the design, procurement
and execution of projects, both as they affect the success of the
project itself and the risk exposure of those professionals working
on it.
You will gain a comprehensive update on developments in the law
relating to construction projects and disputes. Leading national
expert, a current Member of Council and former Chairman of the
Society of Construction Law delivers this short course. This course
will be of interest to surveyors involved directly and indirectly
in development and other construction professionals, including
architects and civil engineers. You will focus on the adoption of a
pro-active approach to risk management.
The learning outcomes of this course provide an understanding
of:
• public procurement and challenges to tender processes
• developments in construction contract law
• liability of professionals and contractors
• dispute resolution round-up: arbitration, adjudication,
alternative methods of dispute resolution
