Deepen your knowledge of construction adjudication to become an effective advisor to parties in dispute.
Ciarb’s popular Module 1 course focuses on the legal principles, process, practice and procedure in construction adjudication to give you the knowledge you need.
This course enables you to:
- Compare and contrast construction adjudication legislation and practice in different jurisdictions.
- Understand the rights, duties and responsibilities of each of those involved in an adjudication.
- Identify, explain and apply the legal procedural principles and rules relevant to the conduct of a construction adjudication.
- Recognise the requirements of an enforceable adjudication decision.
Suitability - Who should attend?
There are no entry requirements for this course. Although we recommend that if you have no previous experience in Construction Adjudication you take the Introduction course and assessment first.
Outcome / Qualification etc.
On successful completion of the Module 1 assessment (available separately), you:
- Will have an in-depth knowledge of the legal principles of this discipline.
- Can apply to become a Member of Ciarb (MCIArb) – ideal if you are keen to develop your ADR career and professional network.
- Are able to progress on to the Module 2: Law of Obligations course.
Course delivery details
Module 1: Law, Practice and Procedure of Construction Adjudication comprises a combination of six virtual tutorials and private study. The course is delivered virtually over a three-month period.
