Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations - The principal objective of this course is to provide you with an awareness of the key regulatory aspects and safety issues associated with the procurement, operation and maintenance of machinery in the UK.
Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) - There are few specific legal requirements relating to mechanical engineering practices. However, the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act, the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations and PUWER mean that the hazards associated with operating and maintaining machinery plus work equipment must be identified and, systems such as training, supervision, information and instructions introduced to mitigate the hazards.
