Course description
Asset Integrity Training Course
This training course covers a broad range of topic areas designed to improve the understanding of the key requirements for effective asset integrity management in high hazard process industries.
Sound asset integrity management is key to ensuring reliable, profitable and productive operations whilst protecting safety, health and the environment. Maintaining asset integrity and minimising downtime requires a careful balance of priorities and a good understanding of risk mitigation and risk management activities.
Below is the HSE definition of asset integrity management: "Asset integrity management systems outline the ability of an asset to perform its required function effectively and efficiently whilst protecting health, safety and the environment and the means of ensuring that the people, systems, processes, and resources that deliver integrity are in place, in use and will perform when required over the whole life-cycle of the asset."

In completing this course, they will be enabled to make better contributions and decisions regarding hazard recognition, prevention and risk management.
Outcome / Qualification etc.
This course will show delegates the key considerations throughout the full asset life-cycle ranging from initial design and material selection, through to age related damage and deterioration. It aims to identify how the knowledge of vulnerabilities, deterioration, obsolescence and awareness of organisational competence can be used to develop and implement appropriate strategies and good practices.
