What will I learn?
This generic route for Transport Maintenance gives you the flexibility to develop your knowledge and skills across a variety of specialist areas within the automotive industry, preparing you for further studies or that first step in your future career. Through classroom theory and workshop practicals you will gain an understanding of health and safety practices, removing and replacing engine components, electrical auxiliary units and components and also gain essential knowledge of chassis units’ brakes, steering and suspension systems, tyres and exhaust systems.In addition, you will benefit from understanding of Personal Social Development (PSD) associated with working in a garage and awareness of job roles and department responsibilities in a dealership.

What do I need to know?
