Course description
Introduction
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is one of the most widely used talking therapies. It helps people to understand their own behaviour and to make positive changes in their lives. Now widely used in the NHS to help people with anxiety disorder, depression and other conditions it is mainly concerned with how people are thinking and acting now, and using this as the starting point for change, rather than focusing on difficulties in their past.
CBT aims to help you deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts. You're shown how to change these negative patterns to improve the way you feel

Teacher feedback, individual learning plans, student and peer self-assessment.
