What will I learn?
Based on Hatha yoga, this course is suitable for all ages and abilities and is about bringing mind, body and spirit together in harmony, which can improve your health and well-being. Fitness classes contribute to a healthy lifestyle and an improved well-being which will benefit you at home and at work.
The course will include an introduction to all aspects of yoga, including its history, background and philosophy. You will also learn a wide variety of stretching exercises designed to help develop flexibility, strength and suppleness and, by the end of the course, you should be able to perform a range of exercises and postures. The course also includes relaxation techniques, breathing, concentration and meditation exercises, all of which help to encourage the release of stress and promote a healthier mind and body.

What do I need to know?
This class is suitable for all abilities, from complete beginners through to advanced. Students must notify the tutor of any injuries and/or medical conditions (including pregnancy). You will be required to complete a medical questionnaire on attendance. Some conditions may require a letter of consent from your doctor before you can participate in the class.
