Course description
Let us teach you the basics of yoga and what you should know before you start.
Yoga has an ancient history (more than 3000 years) and a deep spiritual connection. Yoga teachers have been passing on the unique knowledge of yoga and yoga philosophy for centuries. During a yoga teacher training programme, you get to know yourself and you learn to listen inwards. You gain in-depth knowledge of the yoga philosophy, which is so much more than just physical movements and positions.
Becoming a yoga teacher means not only getting a professional training but also starting a fascinating journey within yourself. During this programme, you will acquire the basic knowledge of yoga. You will learn all the fundamental positions, how to create yoga sequences (Vinyasa) and how to build a successful and appealing yoga class.
Furthermore, you will understand how to effectively teach your interested students, modify positions, and deal with the emotions that may arise in your students when performing different positions and exercises.
You will also develop verbal communication skills to help your students maintain focus during class.
You will learn how to teach from a place of deep calm and confidence so that your students leave your yoga class with a sense of peace, inner strength and personal success.
To strengthen your teaching skills, you will receive a solid theoretical background covering yoga anatomy, yoga philosophy, the teachings of the eight branches of yoga, the teachings of Chakras, Nadis, subtle energy, breathing techniques, meditation, mindfulness, acceptance and self-compassion. You will learn how to receive your students, communicate with different communication styles and how body language and behaviour can reveal imbalances in your students' bodies.
