What will I learn?
This course is especially suitable for anyone who has English as their first language and who lacks confidence reading and writing in everyday life. You will improve your English skills and confidence and work towards gaining a qualification and being able to apply for other courses. You will learn how to improve the writing, reading and communication skills needed for everyday life and employment. You will be able to improve your grammar, spelling and punctuation as well as the form and style of your writing. You will learn how Literacy can help in practical situations such as applying for jobs your work, shopping or DIY. Your tutor will discuss and advise you on any individual topics you wish to cover.

What do I need to know?
Entry Criteria: to have been assessed and demonstrated that you have the potential to pass any assessments or exams at this level; Agree to attend the whole course and have 90% attendance; To be prepared to take assessments during the course and the final examinations (if appropriate). If progressing from another course to have: shown the necessary commitment to learning by achieving at least 80% attendance; passed any tests or assessments (if appropriate); very good punctuality; regularly completed homework.
