There have been a number of recent cases affecting the way that issues of causation are presented in pleadings, in evidence, and at trial. This virtual classroom seminar is aimed at those working in the field of clinical negligence who will need to consider how to prove causation in their cases beyond the traditional ‘but for’ approach.
Topics discussed will include factual v legal causation, establishing the chain of causation, and informed consent cases. Material contribution and delays in diagnosing cancer cases will also be discussed, along with all the latest case law.
The live and interactive session is presented by Aneurin Moloney, a barrister at Gatehouse Chambers whose clinical negligence practice covers a wide range of medical disciplines.
