Course description
Sprains and strains represent the most frequent musculoskeletal injuries encountered by physically active individuals. This module provides a concise overview of their management, adhering to the PRICE principle (protection, rest, ice, compression, elevation) to mitigate swelling and promote healing. According to NICE recommendations, paracetamol or topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) serve as the primary analgesic options for these injuries. The module specifically delves into diclofenac, one of the extensively researched topical NSAIDs for musculoskeletal conditions.
