Who is this course for
This course is designed for individuals who are interested (and passionate!) in developing a successful career in the travel and tourism industry, with progression to management.Typical job roles related to the course are within airlines, hotels, travel agencies and tour operators as well as the growing cruise, events and hospitality sectors. Individuals applying for the course should ideally be interested in progressing into a supervisory or management role in the future.Individuals should enjoy independent research as well as small class seminars.
Entry requirements
GCSE maths and English at grade 4 (grade C) or above (or equivalent) and a HNC in Travel and Tourism or related Diploma is also accepted which is equivalent to Year 1 at University. A UCAS Tariff score of 48-64 from a full Level 3 qualification such as City & Guilds, BTEC, A Level or an Access course may also be considered. Applicants with extensive industry experience that can prove capable of working at Level 5 may also be considered.All students who are non-native English speakers and who have not undertaken their final two years of schooling in English, must demonstrate capability in English at a standard equivalent to IELTS 5.5; Reading and Writing must be at 5.5 or equivalent.
