Course content
This course is a one year intensive course for mature students.Course units include:
- English skills for health and care
- Maths skills for health and care
- Human anatomy and physiology
- Sociological principles in health and care
- Psychological approaches
- Study skills.
Who is this course for
Pursue a career in caring for others or go into nursing with this one year intensive course. Develop all the skills you need to apply for higher education. Access courses are suitable for those that have been out of education for some time and prepare you for higher education.
Entry requirements
You must be 19 years or above with a relevant Level 2 qualification. You will need to have GCSEs in English and maths at grade (grade C) or Level 2 functional skills. If not, you will take a formal entry in those subjects. You will have a College interview and may also be required to sit an Access test.
