Course description
Level 3 in Education and Training
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an essential introduction for anyone wanting to work and teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
It is the ideal award for those with no previous teaching qualifications or experience, as well as those already working in the sector who would like to gain an official qualification.
The guided learning hours for this qualification are 48-61 hours. As the course is all on-line, students’ study completely at their own pace. However, from the date that you enrol you will have 12 months as a course expiry date.
Students are required to perform a Micro Teach session as part of the course. You will need to draw up a lesson plan and use Skype to demonstrate the 15-30 minutes session. Alternatively, you may record your Micro Teach and submit your audio-visual recording via Drop Box or by posting a memory stick or DVD to our office.
Assessment is through assignment coursework, and practical assessment in the classroom – this includes a 15-minute micro-teaching session, which you must deliver to your peers, and take part in the evaluation process of other micro-teaching sessions.
