Course description
The Children & Young People’s Workforce - CACHE Level 2 Certificate (RQF) Course is designed for those looking to start a career in child care, providing an ideal starting point from which they can move on to the higher level qualifications.
The distance learning programme delivers the level of skill needed for professionals to work in a supervised child care capacity, including:
- an understanding of learning & development issues in child care
- the legislative context in which child carers operate
- the early education framework
- the personal & interpersonal skills needed to work with children
Students will need to have a placement in a child care setting in which to gather evidence of learning & skills.On successful completion students will receive the CACHE Children and Young People’s Workforce Level 2 Certificate Qualification with 35 credits.

Suitability - Who should attend?
This Children & Young People’s Workforce - CACHE Level 2 Certificate (RQF) Course is suitable for beginners looking to take their first step in a child care career.
