Landscape Construction and Horticulture Level 3
This programme provides a route to employment as a professional Landscaper by developing essential skills and assessing knowledge of the principles underpinning horticultural and Landscape practices.

Suitability - Who should attend?
At least five GCSEs at grade 9–4 (grade A*–C), including Maths, English and a Science, or a relevant Level 2 qualification at Merit or above.
Must be 19+ with at least three years' experience in the industry.

Units year 1:
- Professional working responsibilities
- Plant and Soil Science
- Identification, planting and care of plants
- Routine plant management
- Plant propagation activities
- Work experience in the land-based sectors
- Estate skills
Units year 2:
- Contemporary issues in the land-based sectors
- Tree and Shrub pruning and maintenance
- Land-based Machinery operations
- Constructing Decorative Landscape Features
- Participating in Horticultural tasks at events
- Resource and operations planning for event-based Horticultural Activities
- Landscape and Garden design
- Linear and level surveying
Course delivery details
A combination of practical and theory sessions based in the classroom, workshop or extensive college grounds.
Continuing Studies
On successful completion of this course, you could progress to a Foundation Degree, BSc, HND, or pursue work in the landscape industry.
