Gold Card Electrician

This package of learning will provide you with all of the qualifications required in order to meet the requirements of a JIB Gold Card. This package will enable you to undertake domestic electrical work, commercial electrical work and you also achieve a level 3 NVQ and AM2!!!..A saving of £495 is achieved when booking this Gold Card package.

This package provides all of the training and assessment that anyone looking to achieve JIB Gold Card status will require. From novice to fully Qualified Electrician, this package of learning has everything that you need. You will start with learning the fundamental requirements for undertaking an electrical installation as well as information relating to the structure and organisation of the electrical industry via the C&G 2365 level 2. You will move on to more advanced information on theC&G 2365 level 3covering scientific principles, fault diagnosis and rectification as well as receive an abundance of knowledge on inspection and testing and installation design. You will also receive extended training to better understand and achieve the 18thEdition Wiring Regulations C&G 2382-22. Once working in the electrical industry, Able Skills will provide work based/site assessments in order for you to achieveC&G 2357 NVQ level 3and finally, you will come back to Able Skills to undertakeAM2(Achievement Measurement 2).

This package also provides you with the following:

You will achieve all of the qualifications within this package by receiving both practical and theory training as well as work-based assessments once you are employed within the industry. The required reading material for City & Guilds 2365 level 2 and 3 are included in the cost of this training package. Our facilities are second to none with good sized classrooms, lots of workshop areas with all the tools you will require for the practical aspects of the courseand unlike many other training providers, we also have our own NET approved AM2 centre. You will have constant support from our fully qualified electrical assessors who give everything they have to ensure that you finish your training with Able Skills with a very high level of competency..

This package of learning covers everything you will need to achieve Gold Card JIB status and any additional qualifications would be personal choice, you may wish to consider the City & Guilds 2391-52 Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations before moving on to Level 4 Award in the Design and Verification of Electrical Installations (City & Guilds 2396)

This package of learning begins with quite a structured pattern of learning allocating 7 weeks for the C&G 2365 level 2, 1 week for the C&G 2382 and then 6 weeks for the C&G 2365 level 3. When you are working within the industry, the work-based assessments can be arranged and at any time you feel ready, you can arrange to come in and sit for the AM2 assessment. This is an intensive package of learning, and some home-study will be required so if you feel that it would be better to locate yourself close to the training centre, Able Skills has accommodation that is available on a room only basis at £25 per night.This JIB Gold Card package is also available usingHome Studyfor parts of the course.

All of our courses take place at our dedicated training centre in Dartford, Kent. The centre is easily accessible by road, being just 10 minutes from junction 1a on the M25. We are only a short walk from Dartford train station which is served by frequent trains taking 35 minutes from central London. For anyone travelling from further away, we have our own accommodation available at only £25 per night.

This is a full time 14-week course initially. 7 weeks for level 2 (Week 7 is a part week due to assessment strategy), 5 days for C&G 2382 and 6 weeks for level 3. The NVQ and AM2 will follow on from here but the dates for assessment are more likely to be determined by you. The cost is £8495.00 including VAT. (As below, this course is also available at weekends)

A £750depositwill secure a start date and the balance can be paid as follows:

Full Time Option:in 7 weekly instalments of £385.00 for the C&G 2365 level 2, £395 for the C&G 2382 and then 6 weekly instalments of £375.00 for the C&G 2365 level 3. This will leave a balance of £1445 for the NVQ level 3 which can also be paid in instalments and £960 for the AM2 (price as of 2023).

Part Time Option (This is 2 consecutive weekends per month)- 9 instalments of £299.44 for the C&G 2365 level 2, 1 instalment of £395 for the C&G 2382 which will be completed over 2 weekends and 7 payments of £300.00 and 1 final payment of £150 for the C&G 2365 level 3 (these are payable on the first weekend of each training block). This will leave a balance of £1445 for the NVQ level 3 which can also be paid in instalments and £960 for the AM2 (price as of 2023).
