Course description
If you are a time served Electrician over 5 years but do not hold any installation qualifications but need to achieve NVQ level 3 via the C&G 2346 Experienced Worker route, you may want to consider this route to achieving the mandatory pre-requisite qualification C&G 2365-02.
What Youll LearnThe pre-requisites for anyone looking to gain NVQ level 3 via the Experienced Worker route (EWA - C&G 2346-03) is that you can prove over 5 years experience in commercial/industrial settings and from September 2023, that you also hold a level 2 Electrical Installation qualification.
Having worked in industry for over 5 years, the chances of an individual requiring training over a long period of time to cover the theory and practical aspects of this qualification are minimal and so Able Skills has devised a fast-track route to achieving this qualification.
How Youll LearnAs the likelihood is that no training will be required for time-served Electrical Installation operatives, we are offering the opportunity to complete the qualification in 5 days at Able Skills Assessment only, preceded with some Home Study for the theory aspects of the qualification.
Courses Open To You AfterAs time served (over 5 years) Electricians, after achieving the C&G 2365 level 2 Electrical qualification your next step will be to register for NVQ Level 3 via the Experienced Worker route (EWA 2346-03).
Additional InfoIt is important that individuals have the capability to achieve this qualification in this condensed time and without the provision of training so prior to booking, we will require you to complete a candidate background form we will look to verify any information provided.
If you are eligible for this fast-track route to C&G 2365 level 2, we will then send you a Home Study pack and you will need to revise this at length as you will sit exams at Able Skills when you are ready to book in your assessment time. Once you have completed your study and are ready to undertake your assessments and exams, you will need to book a week in-centre with us and during this time you will undertake:
Practical assessments for units:
- 211 - Health and safety in building services engineering and
- 204 - Installation of wiring systems and enclosures
Theory assessments (exams) for units:

- 210 - Understand how to communicate with others within building services engineering (closed book)
