The Global PA Association & Training Academy was established in 2007 in London and has been leading the way globally on upskilling the potential of the Office Professional sector. The sector is identified as including Executive Assistants, Personal Assistants, Secretaries, Admin Assistants, Office Managers, Team Assistants, and others.

In partnership with Kingston University Business School, we conducted academic research, which was published in academic journals in 2012. This research is the largest sample in the world related to the sector and identified that over 60% of office professionals are qualified to degree level. It confirmed that companies would grow faster if this workforce sector was included in career pathways through their organisation.

Samantha Webley, a Personal Loans Team Leader at Cardiff based MotoNovo Finance, upon completing the LEAD Management Programme she decided for her ‘Making a Difference’ project to focus on developing a fully motivated Outbound Sales Team achieving an average of 125 personal loan sales per month.

Samantha has been with MotoNovo for over 15 years and has worked her way up the MotoNovo career path ladder which has include her roles as an Input and Payout Administrator, Key Account Manager and a Campaign Account Manager.

Nigel Dobbs is currently the Production Manager at LyondellBasell Industries previously known as A Schulmans, Crumlin Plant which manufactures compounding plastics for a range of component manufactures. He has worked at the plant for a total of 44 years and is responsible for three Production Shift Managers operating a 24-hour shift pattern, 60 Production Staff and liaises directly with Planning, Laboratory Test, Quality, Logistics, Maintenance, Customers and EU Colleagues.
