Course description
A hospitality team member can work in a range of establishments, for example bars, restaurants, cafe´s, conference centres, banqueting venues, hotels or contract caterers. The role is very varied and although hospitality team members tend to specialise in an area.Specialist areas in hospitality include food and beverage service, serving alcoholic beverages, barista, food preparation, housekeeping, concierge and guest services, reception, reservations and conference and banqueting. The most important part of the role is developing fantastic ‘hospitality’ skills and knowledge such as recognising customer needs, and make sure they feel welcomed and looked after.

Suitability - Who should attend?
- Minimum GCSE grade D (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- All applicants will be required to pass initial assessments in Maths, English and ICT. An Entry Level 3 must be achieved for acceptance onto the apprenticeship programme.
Training Course Content
This apprenticeship is split into three sections; industry knowledge, core hospitality and hospitality specialist. Each section contains knowledge units, skills units and behaviour units.?You will cover units across the three sections such as understand the culture and industry and why delivering a customer experience to meet and exceed customer's expectations is so important to hospitality business, appreciate the importance of hospitality behaviours, customer modules, first line supervision / team leading modules, food and beverage service and alcoholic beverage service.
