Mental Health Expert Assessment
A Mental Health Expert Assessment is required for any client entering our occupationally focussed full mental health services. Clients may be referred from our EAP service team or referred directly from Occupational Health or HR professionals.
Vita Health Group operates a fully clinically governed model which means that at mental health expert assessment, clinical measures and an expert clinical view will provide a working diagnosis and ensure an evidence-based approach to treatment pathway is provided. Clinical measures also allow the measurement and demonstration of case progress and successes. This step-by-step process allows patients to celebrate milestones and see the overall goal from the start.
Our team conduct an Expert Mental Health Assessment via telephone with an employee with the following key aims:
- Establish a working diagnosis – definition of presenting issue
- Collaboratively work with an individual to enable them to make an informed choice regarding their treatment – (convenience/location/telephone/in-person/face-to-face).
- Psychological Therapy treatment is then delivered in line with Nice Guidance and the stepped model of care
- Conduct a mental state and full risk assessment
- Place individual in correct treatment pathway
- Provide psychoeducation to support best engagement in the services available and actively support wellbeing
- Advise organisation on progress and make occupational focused recommendations
