Course description
This one-day course will provide an introduction in the basics of cost effectiveness analysis in health. Participants will gain an understanding of how cost-effectiveness models and tools can be used to assist in the evaluation of health programmes and decision making.
The day will consist of short lectures, case studies and practical group exercises. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their projects one-to-one with the course leaders as well as to share experiences of other delegates.
Centre for Health Services Studies (CHSS)
The Centre undertakes high quality research into a wide range of health systems and health services issues at local, national and international levels. The work of CHSS is collaborative with a wide range of partners, service users, professionals and policy-makers in health and social care in Kent, the UK and in other countries.
Led by Stephen Peckham, CHSS’s key strength is the diverse expertise and skills of the Centre's researchers who are research active in the fields of Primary Care, Public Health, Public Policy, Health Psychology, Palliative Care, Statistics, Public Engagement, Clinical Trials and Health Economics.
CHSS research staff also help, support and advise external researchers to develop and undertake research projects through the NIHR Research Design Service South East (RDS SE).
