Enabling Others
This module is for qualified and registered social workers, normally with a minimum of two years’ postqualifying experience. It is also suitable for social care staff who are acting as practice supervisors for students or mentors/assessors for other learners. It can be studied at Level 6.
You will acquire the knowledge and skills to enable and support learning and assessment of social work students and social care staff in the workplace. The module meets the requirements of the nationally recognised Practice Educator Professional Standards, Stage 1.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Study at Level 5 or above within the last five years, a social work qualification and current registration with Social Work England, plus agency approval to host a BA or MA social work student on a 70 day placement.
Please ensure that your qualifications are listed clearly in your application
Outcome / Qualification etc.
Registered social workers will be recognised as Stage 1 Practice Educators, able to supervise and assess students on their first placement.
