Course description

Introduction to Electrochemistry

By the end of the module students should be able to:

    • Apply the methods and techniques learned to review, extend, and apply their knowledge and understanding, to initiate and perform short projects.
    • Critically evaluate arguments and data, to construct judgements and appropriate questions to enable a solution (or solutions) to a problem to be reached
    • Communicate information, concepts, problems and solutions to specialists and non-specialists.

Suitability - Who should attend?

In order to be accepted onto the Introduction to Electrochemistry , you must possess:

  • A good 2.2 Honours degree (or equivalent) in scientific subject or equivalent professional qualification

International Students

IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in any band).

IELTS 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any band is equivalent to:

  • TOEFL: 88 overall with no less than 21 in Reading, 20 in Listening, 22 in Speaking and 21 in Writing
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE): PTE Academic 67 with no less than 64 in all four skills
  • Cambridge English (exams taken from 2015): Advanced – minimum overall score of 176, with no less than 169 in any component
