Course description
SIL Awareness for Technicians (T251H - Half Day)
IEC 61511 Compliance for Technicians (T251F - Full Day)
IEC 61511 Functional Safety Appreciation & Awareness (T241 - Full Day)
TUVR have various IEC 61511 and SIL courses for technicians and managers ranging from a 1/2 day compliance course (T251H) through to full day courses specifically designed for technicians (T251F) or managers (T241).
With the advent of the IEC 61508 / 61511 standards there are best practice requirements for the specification, installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) installed within the workplace. TUVR will help you to achieve and maintain compliance for your assets. Providing a practical perspective based on real life experience.
The goal of these courses is to provide a perspective of the key management, design and operational requirements of Functional Safety according to IEC 61508 / IEC 61511. This includes key steps to compliance in the context of Safety Instrumented Systems
(SIS) projects.
Upcoming start dates
Suitability - Who should attend?
SIL Awareness for Technicians (T251H - Half Day)
The course has been designed to be of benefit to control / electrical technicians and supervisory staff. It will also provide other engineering disciplines with an overview of the requirements for managing SIS.
IEC 61511 Compliance for Technicians (T251F - Full Day) and IEC 61511 Functional Safety Appreciation & Awareness (T241 - Full Day for Managers)
The course is particularly useful for those managers and engineers who may be directly or indirectly; involved in executing safety instrumented system projects covering any phase of the safety lifecycle from hazard and risk assessment, through engineering and design to operations and maintenance.
Outcome / Qualification etc.
