Course description
The course aims to bring delegates up-to-date with the new therapeutic options available for managing a range of common skin and ear conditions. The number of new products and drugs used in dermatology has increased markedly in the last few years, and their potential for individual and combined use makes deciding between these, and the safe replacement of older products, difficult. We will therefore discuss how to get the best from the newer products and also discuss updated treatment protocols for more established products.
Topics covered:
- What’s new in immunosuppression?
- Treatment options for atopic dermatitis
- Topical therapies – when to use what, including the management of pyoderma and MRS
- Treatment options for otitis externa
At the end of the session, delegates should have an up-to-date knowledge of:
- New treatment protocols for immunosuppression
- The management of canine atopic dermatitis
- The actions and practical use of topical dermatology products-
- How to successfully minimise the use of antibiotics when treating skin and ear infections
- A logical approach to the treatment of otitis externa
Small animal practitioners who wish to remain abreast of current thinking and recent developments in the management and treatment of ear and skin conditions
