Course description
Study a range of subjects, from hands-on therapies and electrotherapies to biomechanics and sports medicine, with our industry-recognised Integrated Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy.
Our four-year course includes a year of Masters-level study, leading to the MVetPhys qualification. It’s the first MVetPhys in the UK accredited by the Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners (RAMP).
As a student at ARU Writtle, you’ll get practical, hands-on experience in specialist facilities including our equine and canine therapy centres.
Your studies will involve both large and companion animals, with a particular focus on horses and dogs.
You'll be taught by highly qualified and experienced veterinary physiotherapists and veterinary surgeons.
Our veterinary surgeons help to teach subjects such as anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. Meanwhile, our veterinary physiotherapists, who have extensive experience in equine hydrotherapy and canine rehabilitation, will be lecturing in rehabilitation, remedial exercise programmes and electrotherapy.
As a graduate, you can apply to be a fully registered veterinary physiotherapist.
You’ll also be able to join the Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners (RAMP) and the Animal Health Professions' Register (AHPR).
