- Consider precautions to be taken
- Correctly store and handle abrasive wheels
- Select an appropriate abrasive wheel for a specific machine and task
- Carry out inspection and safe mounting of abrasive wheels

Training Course Content
Delegates will be taught the following topics:
- The requirements of the Provisions and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER
- Abrasive wheels hazards, risks & control measures
- Safe Ten stages
- Selecting & Identifying Abrasive wheels (markings/types & speeds)
- Inspecting and Testing abrasive wheels
- Storing Abrasive Wheels
- Mounting of Abrasive wheels & Guard design
- Truing & Dressing wheel
The course will cover the following types of abrasive wheels:
- Type 1 Grinding (Bench)
- Type 41 Flat for Cutting
- Type 42 Depressed Centre for Cutting
- Type 27 Depressed Centre for Grinding
