Course description
LCBT's Level 2 Diploma in Hair and Media Make-up covers the essential knowledge and understanding needed to help you start your career as a make-up artist. The units that you study will provide you with the basic skills to perform many media, cat walk and theatre looks. Units include Make-Up, Colouring and Dressing Hair, Eyelash & Brow Treatments, Body Art, Photographic Make-Up, Professional Client Care and Communication, as well as experiencing the duties and responsibilities of working in a salon.
Course designed for the learner taking their first steps to become a make-up artist or hair stylist with a variety of delivery based on hair, make-up and creative skills.
You will be taught in state of the art dedicated Make-Up rooms by our lecturers who have extensive experience in the make-up, film, TV and styling industries. You will also benefit from a range of enrichment opportunities including industry talks, and the chance to practice your skills in industry. Depending on your entry and prior qualifications you may also be required to undertake English and Maths Functional Skills or GCSE’s dependant on your criteria.

- Creating an Image For a Client - based on a choice of themes including historical, fantasy & special occasion
- Manicure
Learners will also study client care, health & safety and industry knowledge.
