C&G Level 2 Diploma in Women's Hairdressing (3002-61) (C2DHAF)
This qualification covers a very wide range of skills and knowledge required for preparing to work in the hairdressing industry.
Units covered are:
- Working with in the hair industry
- Health and safety
- Client consultation
- Shampoo and condition the hair & scalp
- Promote products and services
- Cut women's hair
- Colour and lighten hair
- The art of dressing hair
- Create an image
- Plaiting and twisting hair .
Centres and providers work with local employers who will contribute to the knowledge and delivery of training. Employers will provide demonstrations and talks on the industry and where possible work placements will also be provided by the employers.
This practically based training is ideal preparation for training on the job or specialist further study. - Entry requirements
An interview to assess suitability for the course and a test for adequate language, literacy and numeracy skills. This qualification is aimed at you if you are looking start a career as a hairdresser. This qualification is suitable for anyone over the age of 16 years and no prior qualifications are needed.
