Course description
The course will give you an insight into the process of creating vessels and hollow forms, from initial stage of idea to the final piece. Introducing several Silversmithing techniques including sinking, hand raising, press forming and large scale soldering.
Course aims and benefits:
This course will introduce you to key Silversmithing techniques as well as provide creative tools for developing and realising your ideas into a three dimensional metal piece. Students will be encouraged to develop their own creative and experimental approach in making.
Discussions with individual students would be supported by demonstrations. Basic materials and tools will be supplied and participants will be advised on appropriate materials to purchase for their work.
