Level 6 Certificate in Professional Supervision (Online Supported by Coaching / Supervision)
The Level 6 Certificate in Professional Supervision is designed for senior leaders, middle managers and aspiring leaders and managers who currently provide supervision or will be progressing into such a role. Participants might be work within a wide range of backgrounds, including education, local government, health and wellbeing and a range of other professions. The course is also suitable for those currently or planning to practise as a supervisor for coaches and mentors. Participants will be looking to get the very best out of their staff through highly effective professional, ethical and developmental supervision, ensuring that all team members are working to full capacity in a supportive, innovative and inspirational working environment.
The programme incorporates a blended learning approach including face to face and online tutorials, online and work-based learning, and access to relevant reading and research. The course is split into learning modules which cover the knowledge required for successful supervision, the practice of working as a professional supervisor and reflections on personal and professional success. Each module is assessed through a mix of written assignments and the completion of a reflective portfolio, using evidence of supervision work, reflective practice, feedback and further development planning. Participants receive detailed and comprehensive feedback on these assignments, including areas for reflection and further reading, with the aim of encouraging further personal and professional development.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Participants will normally be practising managers, who either have a role in professional supervision or aspire to one, and the opportunity to meet the assessment demands. They will normally be expected to be able to demonstrate this through holding some form of leadership and / or other qualification associated with their profession at level 5 or above

Continuing Studies
The programme is accredited at Level 6 by NCFE, a UK wide awarding body covering a broad range of specialisms. Level 6 equates to final year honours degree level and is therefore a prestigious qualification in its own right. It can provide progression routes to further professional development, including entry to Level 7 programmes in Leadership & Management or Coaching & Mentoring and to Masters level study.
