Course description
Introduction
This course will build on your DIY experience and teach you more technical domestic plumbing skills you can use at home.
At the end of this course you'll be able to:
Repair minor leaks
Re-washer taps and float valves
Identify direct and indirect hot and cold systems
Identify basic heating controls
Isolate a radiator, drain down and remove for decoration and refit
Repair bath, basin and kitchen sink traps.
Assessment
Your tutor will give you feedback on your work and you'll fill in work sheets. You'll work with your classmates to evaluate each other's work and share ideas.
Next Steps
You could enrol on another higher level plumbing course at the College to gain more experience and learn more advanced skills.
