Course description
This course is structured to develop communicative Korean and to provide grammatical understanding and essential vocabulary and expressions. Students will develop the language skills to communicate within a range of situations and everyday life.
The topics are designed to develop well-balanced skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing. Each session will provide pronunciation practice, revision of previous sessions, grammar explanation, expanded vocabulary and fixed expression/phrases, and conversation practice, followed by plenty of activities and consolidation. Homework will be given at each session and will be checked thoroughly by the teacher. Throughout the term the teacher will monitor students’ progress informally and formally.
By the end of the course, students will have built up real communicative language skills and a good understanding of grammar. They will be able to talk about past and future events, weather and seasons, time, make suggestions and appointments and discuss future plans including about studying Korean. Students completing this course can continue to Korean Beginners 3.
