Course description
Travel & Tourism BTEC Level 2: You will develop the skills needed for a career in the Travel & Tourism industry. Learn about holiday bookings, customer service in hotels, tour operations and airports. You find out how to research and market tourist destinations. You also go on visits to a range of organisations to see how a travel related business is run on a day-to-day basis and gain vital work experience to help prepare you for future employment. Study visits and a residential form an integral part of this course and you may be required to contribute towards the cost. You are encouraged to consider fundraising initiatives to help cover these costs. You will also be required to provide a basic uniform for assessment sessions.

Suitability - Who should attend?
� 2 GCSEs at grade 3 (D), to include English. Maths must be at grade 2 (E) or above.orA Level 1 at Pass grade, plus a GCSE grade 3 (D) or above in English.� You will have an interview and further assessment to check the course is right for you.� A keen interest in working in the travel industry.� You will be invited to a �taster� session to find out more about the course.
