Course description
Positive Handling in Schools Level 2 Award: Children and young people can, on occasion, demonstrate challenging behaviour at school. Staff may be required to positively handle them to prevent them harming themselves or others. It is important that if you are involved in these situations that you are aware of the legalities surrounding positive handling. This qualification provides an introduction to the principles of positive handling in a school environment and demonstrates to employers that you can undertake a specific role in the workplace. You will learn about the difference between restrictive and non-restrictive physical interventions, legislation relating to this and the risk factors associated with physical intervention.
