Course description
Music Technology BTEC Level 3: Develop your love of music in to a career. Learn about the industry including music production, sequencing, composing, live sound techniques, as well as the listening skills required by Music Technologists. For your final project, you plan and produce an original digital track. You also get the chance to perform live in front of an audience, gain work experience at a local festival and take part in competitions. Previous music students have had the opportunity to experience different elements of the music industry on projects such as the Big Music Project. This included music workshops with external musicians demonstrating different music styles and techniques such as Percussion, Beatboxing, Singing and Musical Theatre.

Suitability - Who should attend?
� 4 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, including English & maths. If you do not have grade 4 (C) or above in both subjects the minimum for the other subject is grade 3 (D).orA full Level 2 at Pass grade or above with maths & English grades equivalent to those stated above.** Students with grade 3 (D) in either English or maths will be expected to re-take that subject in Year 1.� Demonstrate your musical talent to our panel of tutors.� You will be invited to a �taster� session to find out more about the course.
