Horticulture (Amenity) Advanced Apprenticeship: An Advanced Apprenticeship prepares you for various roles in horticulture, including maintaining landscapes, parks and public gardens. At the end of your apprenticeship, you will need to pass the end point assessment.Depending on your employer your apprenticeship may specialise in one of the following areas:HORTICULTURIST: You will learn about the development maintenance and care of landscaping, both urban and rural. You will also look at the production of plants for food and ornamental purposes including fruit, vegetables, mushrooms and trees for GREENKEEPER: You will be responsible for the maintenance, care and overall appearance of a golf course. You will maintain a good quality playing surface across the four key turfgrass areas, as well as maintaining hazards, environmental and ecological operations including bunker maintenance, planting turf, trees, shrubs and developing wildlife habitats.SPORTS TURF OPERATIVE: You will be responsible for the maintenance, renovation and appearance of sports turf surfaces. Depending on your employer, the role may include working across different sports and venues, including athletics, bowls, cricket, croquet, football, hockey, horse racing, rugby, tennis and ranging from general parks type sports surfaces up to first class stadiums.ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATIONIST: You will work to help protect rural & urban landscapes, plants & animals, and the countryside. Depending on your employer, you may survey and report on the condition of an outdoor area and encourage people to enjoy the environments around them.

� An apprenticeship vacancy in your chosen area. We promote vacancies all year round. To find our vacancies see You must pass an initial assessment in English, maths & ICT.OrHave recently gained GCSE grades 4 (C) or above in English & maths.� You will have an interview.� A minimum of 1 year�s relevant industry experience.� A Level 2 qualification is preferred, but not essential.
